FDE Dispatch: Forward Deployed Engineer certifications and clearance index Files fde-certifications-2026-10-24.json hand classification of every certif / accredit / credential / clearance keyword match, with denominators, required vs preferred splits, named certifications by employer, clearance as its own category, noise categories, and a per-match classification table Used on https://fdedispatch.com/forward-deployed-engineer-certification/ Population Engineer-title posting texts pulled October 25, 2026 (566 of 568 engineer-title rows with in_page_stats = true in fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv; 2 had closed) and deployment-strategist posting texts pulled October 28, 2026 (85 texts). Combined denominator 651. Management titles from the October 24, 2026 snapshot are not in this corpus. Keyword seed matches: 264 postings. Method Every match was hand-classified. A posting counts as a candidate certification only when a certification is listed as a requirement or a preference for the candidate. Required vs preferred/nice-to-have is taken from the posting section (for example "Must To Have", "You're Our Person If", "Even Better If", "Nice-to-Haves", "Preferred Qualifications", "Bonus points"). Bare "Databricks Certification" bullets under "What we look for" are counted as preferred: sibling Databricks postings use preferred / nice-to-have / plus wording in the same slot, and none say the certificate is required to apply. Security clearance is reported separately and is not counted as a certification. Not counted as a candidate certification Pay-transparency boilerplate that lists certifications as a compensation factor (common at Databricks); employer workplace certifications; system or API credentials; employer boasts about staff certification counts; professional-development benefits language; anti-credential hiring language; privacy-framework and recruitment-fraud boilerplate; TLS/PKI or document certificates; accreditation as a customer-environment job duty; role-level competency boilerplate without a named candidate cert. Caveats Keyword matching is approximate; hand review removes the noise listed above. Postings close; check the url before relying on a row. Employers that post only on LinkedIn, Indeed or other applicant systems are missing. Databricks and Salesforce dominate the candidate-certification counts. No posting in this corpus names an FDE-specific credential.
