Population
  The 122 Databricks rows with in_page_stats = true among the 725 postings
  from 121 employers counted on the salary, job titles, locations and
  travel pages (rows with in_page_stats = true in fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv
  in this folder). Public Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday job boards,
  pulled October 24, 2026. Recruiting agencies and duplicates removed.

Method
  Built by scripts/build-databricks-aggregate.py from
  fde-postings-2026-10-24.json.
  Title families: keyword match on the posting title (Sr. / Staff / Associate
  Forward Deployed Engineer; AI Engineer (FDE); AI Forward Deployed Engineer;
  Forward Deployed Engineering Architect; Manager; Engagement Manager;
  Field / Technical Program Manager; Deployment Strategist).
  Vertical labels: title text only (Communications/Media/Entertainment/Games,
  Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail, Digital Native
  Business, Manufacturing, Public Sector / National Security, Emerging
  Enterprise). Titles that match none are unlabeled.
  New grad and internship: title text only. The dataset intern flag is false
  for every Databricks row in this snapshot.
  Workplace: workplace_type lowercased; missing -> blank. Workplace-type
  buckets (onsite / hybrid / remote / blank) sum to the posting total.
  remote_listed is a separate location/remote flag, not a workplace bucket.
  Travel: upper bound = largest number in the stated percentage string.
  Normalized bands collapse en-dash and hyphen variants of the same range.
  US pay: us_location true, USD range posted, first range on the row.
  Posted ranges are not offers.

Caveats
  Open postings on public boards on one day, not headcount and not a census.
  These listings were live on the October 24, 2026 snapshot. The ATS
  posted_or_updated field can show dates earlier for evergreen listings; it
  is not a posting-date range.
  All-employer remote comparison uses the published locations-index figure
  (199 of 725, 27.4%), not the narrower postings remote_listed field (191,
  26.3%). Databricks has 95 remote-listed postings in this snapshot; all 122
  leave workplace type blank, so 95 of the 122 blank-workplace postings list
  remote in their location.
  FDE Dispatch is not affiliated with Databricks. Figures come from Databricks
  public job postings.
