Population
  The 86 postings with role_family = deployment_strategist among the 725
  postings from 121 employers counted on the salary, job titles, locations and
  travel pages (rows with in_page_stats = true in fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv
  in this folder). Public Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday job boards,
  pulled October 24, 2026. Recruiting agencies and duplicates removed.
  Engineer comparisons use the 568 engineer-family postings in the same
  snapshot and the requirements index on /forward-deployed-engineer-skills/
  (563 engineer postings, text pulled October 25, 2026).

Method
  Requirement mentions and years of experience: posting text re-fetched
  October 28, 2026 (85 of 86 still live), matched with the same keyword
  patterns as the requirements index in fde-skills-2026-10-25.json, plus a
  consulting pattern (consulting, consultant, consultancy) applied to both
  strategist and engineer text. A mention is not a hard requirement.
  Travel: upper bound = largest number in the stated percentage string.
  US pay: US-only location, USD range posted, first range on the posting.
  Employer-once pay = median of each employer's median midpoint.

Caveats
  Open postings on public boards on one day, not headcount and not a census.
  One employer posts 35 of the 86 strategist postings, so posting-level
  shares follow that employer; employer-level shares are given alongside.
  Pay comparisons across employers mix levels (new grad to staff).
