Population
The same 725 postings from 121 employers counted on the salary and job titles pages
(rows with in_page_stats = true in fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv in this folder): Forward
Deployed Engineer, deployment strategist and FDE management titles from public
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday job boards, pulled October 24, 2026. Recruiting
  agencies and duplicates removed.

Metros
Each semicolon-separated listed location is matched to one metro with the patterns in the
JSON file (for example San Francisco, Palo Alto, Mountain View and San Jose count as the
San Francisco Bay Area; Arlington, McLean, Reston and Herndon count as the Washington, DC
area). A posting counts once for each metro it lists, so metro counts add up to more than
  725. 317 postings (43.7%) list more than one location; some Accenture postings list 42 to
45 US offices each. 161 postings name no matched metro (for example "Remote - Texas",
"United States" or a city outside the pattern list).

Remote listed
True when the job board marks the posting remote (Ashby workplaceType or isRemote, Lever
workplaceType, Workday remoteType) or any listed location contains the word Remote. The
Coinbase pay-zone label "US - Remote Zone 1" is not counted. This is wider than the remote
field in fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv (191 postings, 26.3%), which did not read Ashby, Lever
or Workday location text and counted the pay-zone label.

Limits
Counts are open postings, not headcount. One employer can post one role in many cities.
A listed office location does not tell you how much of the job happens at customer sites.
Workplace type is stated in 389 of 725 postings only.
