Population
  Engineer-title posting texts pulled October 25, 2026 (566 of 568
  engineer-title rows with in_page_stats = true in
  fde-postings-2026-10-24.csv; 2 had closed) and deployment-strategist
  posting texts pulled October 28, 2026 (85 texts). Combined denominator
  651. Management titles from the October 24, 2026 snapshot are not in
  this corpus. Keyword seed matches: 154 postings.

Method
  Every match was hand-classified. Categories:

  sponsors
    Posting says the employer sponsors visas. Includes country-limited
    sponsorship (for example Germany only), reasonable-effort wording,
    and employer support for a host-country visa process (for example
    Qatar).

  no_sponsorship
    Posting states sponsorship is not available, or requires work
    authorization that does not now or in the future need sponsorship.

  transfer_only_or_case_by_case
    Posting says new sponsorship is generally unavailable but existing
    transfers may be sponsored at discretion.

  citizenship_or_export_control
    Posting requires citizenship, permanent residence, or U.S. Person
    status for export-controlled technology, federal contracts, or
    clearance eligibility. Export-license sponsorship language is
    counted here, not as visa sponsorship. Clearance sponsorship is not
    counted as visa sponsorship.

  noise
    Keyword hit that is not a visa or citizenship policy signal:
    executive sponsor, Visa the company or Visa Ventures, 401(k),
    company-sponsored events, EEO citizenship-as-protected-class,
    E-Verify / I-9 boilerplate, citizen services marketing copy, deal
    sponsors.

  A posting can carry more than one non-noise label. Category counts
  are posting counts per label and can sum above the unique non-noise
  posting count. Sponsorship-stance headline figures use sponsors,
  no_sponsorship, and transfer_only_or_case_by_case only.

Silence
  Most postings never match the keyword seed. Of the matches, many are
  noise only. The published silence share on sponsorship stance is
  (651 minus postings with a sponsorship-stance label) / 651.

Not counted as visa sponsorship
  Export-license sponsorship, security-clearance sponsorship,
  executive or deal sponsors, Visa the payments company, 401(k) and
  team-event sponsorship, and EEO text that only lists citizenship as a
  protected class.

Caveats
  Keyword matching is approximate; hand review removes the noise listed
  above. Postings close; check the url before relying on a row. Employers
  that post only on LinkedIn, Indeed or other applicant systems are
  missing. Figures are what public postings said on the text-pull dates.
  Employer policy is set per employer and can change. This dataset is
  not immigration or legal advice.
