In FDE Dispatch's November 3, 2026 snapshot of public job boards, Snowflake has 9 in-page postings, tied for 12th of 114 employers with Chalk, Cloudflare and Saronic (11 employers have more). Four of the nine list a US salary range, topped by Senior Principal Frontier Engineering at $304,000 to $437,000. Six of nine state travel at 20% or 25%. Five of the seven engineer texts mention eval or evaluation frameworks. All 9 were still listed on November 5, 2026. Years differ by seat. Staff Applied AI Engineer (FDE) states 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. Applied AI Warsaw states 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, and Frontier New Zealand states 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Principal Frontier asks for 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years building and shipping production AI/ML or agentic systems at enterprise scale. Senior Principal Frontier asks for 15+ years of software engineering experience, including a sustained track record of building and shipping production AI/ML or agentic systems at enterprise scale. Neither Migration Lead states a years number in its REQUIREMENTS block.

Frontier New Zealand and Applied AI Warsaw both ask for solutions using Python and SQL. Both Migration Lead texts focus on customer project delivery, programming languages and a degree line, without a years number. Netherlands / Germany states Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. and the role may involve travel up to 20% of the time to collaborate with teams and stakeholders. Lead Forward Deployed Engineer - Migration (Australia) states Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and Travel: This role may involve up to 20% travel to collaborate with customers, teams and stakeholders. Both ask for proficiency in Python, Go, Java or C++.

Strategist and manager seats

The AI Deployment Strategist seat in Tokyo (Professional Services) has no years number in WHAT YOU WILL DO or WHAT YOU BRING. The text asks you to Serve as the filter for opportunities originated by Snowflake's field AE organization. Evaluate each for FDE fit across technical complexity, deployment readiness, and commercial viability. It states no travel percentage and no degree line.

The Software Engineering Manager, AI Migrations (Forward Deployed) seat in Menlo Park asks for 7+ years of experience in technical roles involving customer-facing delivery, engineering, 5+ years of people management experience — mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams, and 3+ years of experience building and delivering enterprise software products, particularly involving AI/ML or developer tools. It lists Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and scripting (Python, Perl, Bash) and hands-on experience with large-scale systems (Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server, Greenplum, Hadoop), plus University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields (or equivalent experience). Travel is not mentioned on the snapshot row or in the November 5 text.

Where the roles are and how many are remote

Four of the nine are US-located: Principal Frontier, Senior Principal Frontier, Staff Applied AI and Manager, all in Menlo Park (Staff also lists Bellevue). Four are outside the US: Strategist Tokyo, Applied AI Warsaw, Frontier New Zealand and Migration Australia. The Netherlands Migration Lead is mixed (Netherlands and Germany Remote).

Warsaw Applied AI, Frontier New Zealand and Migration Australia state a bachelor's or equivalent practical experience. Migration Netherlands states Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. with no "or equivalent" in that REQUIREMENTS line. The Manager states a university degree or equivalent experience.   2. Bring production AI evidence that matches the seat. Staff Applied AI and Frontier New Zealand ask for quality metrics and evaluation frameworks for LLM or agent systems. Principal and Senior Principal ask you to own or set the AI quality bar, including RAG pipelines and multi-step agentic systems. Migration Leads ask for customer project delivery and the language list above.
  3. Read travel and location lines together. Expect 25% onsite language on Staff Applied AI and Frontier seats, and up to 20% on Migration Leads. Treat the Menlo Park seats as Hybrid.
